Rules and regulations for accepting Meraj Airport
The documents required for domestic flights at the airport: National ID card or identity card and Passport for foreign flights.
According to aviation rules, Infant passenger is under 2 years old, & Child passenger is under 12 and more than 2 years old considered as Adult passenger. Passenger is responsible to select correct age range according to ID card, otherwise he or she will not be accepted.
Unaccompanied Minor (UM)
Children under the age of 14 who travel alone MUST the approval of their parents or legal guardians and must inform Meraj Air office at the airport by their parents or legal guardian, UM must hold an individual passport (valid for at least six months), a valid visa for the country of visit. In addition, all the required inoculations and medical check-ups and documents, if required. The necessary arrangements should be made by Meraj Air to issue the special flight card for the Unaccompanied Minor to get ready for the take-off.
Upon Arrival (Destination Airport)
UM passengers are to be handed over to the persons stated on the "Authorization Forms" in exchange for their signatures, after identification otherwise the police will take charge at destination to take care about he/she.
The term 'incapacitated' means those passengers who because of their medical, physical or mental state require individual attention which is not normally provided to other passengers. Incapacitated passengers include those who have:
Categories of Incapacitated Passengers
Deaf, dumb, blind: Permanently deaf, dumb and blind persons do not need medical clearance or an escort unless they are traveling in large groups.
Wheelchairs (WCHR): The particular wheelchair requirement of a passenger is identified by the use of the following AIRIMP codes:
Passengers who do not require medical clearance but do require a wheelchair should declare at reservations time and Passengers who arrive at the Airport in their own wheelchair and wish to take it with them to their destination will be allowed to retain the use of their wheelchair until boarding the aircraft. Arrangements will be made for the chair to be taken from the passenger after embarkation and loaded into the hold of the aircraft.
Note: Regarding to Meraj Air Regulation and Aircraft capacity, we can provide the wheelchair services for passengers who informed us their request by booking.
TRAVELING WHILE PREGNANT
Pregnancy should not be seen as a condition which limits your lifestyle or a reason to postpone your travel plans. As long as you are not suffering from any medical complications during this special time, you can travel as you normally would.
Medical report specifically for flying
There are a few steps to follow before you plan to travel while pregnant:
If there are risks concerning diabetes, hypertension, premature birth or miscarriage, your doctor may not permit you to fly.
Pregnant passengers can fly between the start of the 28th week of pregnancy and the end of the 35th week, as long as they can present a medical report issued in last 3 days before flight time indicating that there are no issues with flying. However, pregnant passengers in the 36th week of their pregnancy or later will not be allowed to fly, even if they present a medical report.
On all flights, a single piece of baggage can weigh up to 32kg. Meraj Air will not accept any one piece of baggage weighing more than 32kg.

Note: To avoid trouble entering the country you are travelling to, you should make sure that you are not carrying any are restricted or prohibited food items.
Cabin baggage terms and materials that are allowed in cabin
The baggage you are carrying must be of a size and weight that can fit in the overhead locker or under the seat. Within the measurements of 23x40x55 cm. upto 5 kg Economy Class & 7 kg for Business Class ONLY, while the thing is more than standard handbag or items such as umbrellas, women's bags, children's accessories bags etc., and In order to prevent the occupation of extra space inside the cabin, it is necessary to and deliver it to the passenger cargo area and receive its receipt.
Restricted Items and Allowance
Accepting pets onto the aircraft
In order to transport a live animal in cabin or aircraft hold, the reservation must be made and confirmed no later than 6 hours before flight departure time.
Note that in accordance with aircraft type there is a capacity limit on the number of animals that can be carried per aircraft.
You can complete check-in procedures for pets traveling with you at check-in counters.
Ensure that your name, surname, address, telephone number, number of animals and the name of your pet or pets are all available on a label affixed to the cage or container.
Also ensure that you are carrying medical reports and certificate of vaccination with ID details and any other necessary documentation. Please be reminded that transportation of pets is not included in baggage allowance and is subject to additional baggage fees.
LOST, DAMAGED, AND DELAYED BAGGAGE
At Meraj Airlines, we take great care to ensure that the baggage arriving at your destination is undamaged and complete. However, rare though it may be, there are times when baggage becomes lost or damaged.
To make claims regarding any baggage problem you encounter or to track a previous claim, please keep in mind you should claim in written within 21 days after your arrival about the baggage irregularity and filling the report and follow-up.
Lost and delayed baggage
If you are unable to find your baggage at the end of your flight, contact the Lost Property Office of your destination airport. Once your journey, and baggage information is recorded at the Lost Property Office, a referral will be made and you will be given a reference number.
Within the first 5 days, the search for lost baggage is the responsibility of the airport Lost and Found Office. If your baggage is not found within the first 5 days, please contact Meraj Air Office at the airport to fill the baggage irregularity.
Compensation for expenses incurred due to missing baggage
Whatever the reason for your missing baggage, we will write a lost baggage report and offer you our essential needs pack. If you received your baggage late, you can make a claim via the baggage irregularity report and submit evidence of the costs incurred during that time. You must make your claim within 21 days of receiving your baggage.
Damaged baggage/missing possessions
If you notice the damage to your baggage at the airport, you just need to contact the Meraj Air Lost Property Office at the airport. Your journey details will be recorded and a “Damaged baggage and/or missing possessions report” will be issued.
If you notice damage to your baggage or possessions missing after you have left the airport, you can notify us by filling the baggage irregularity report at the Meraj Air airport office and follow-up within 7 days and making a lost baggage or missing possessions notification.
Important notice: Airlines are not liable for the security of passengers' cabin baggage or other items not declared as hold baggage at the time of aircraft departure. However morally and for customer service reasons Meraj Air, determined to ensure that every effort is made to find and return personal possessions intact to their rightful owner. In the event that lost unchecked property is found by Meraj Air and the company assumes guardianship of it by treating it as found unchecked property, Meraj Air becomes liable as bailer. When Meraj Air are being handled by an agent, the handling agent shall prepare the report and hand it to the Meraj Air Office (or Duty) Manager.
you should know that you can not claim any lost material within your baggage unless you declare it in written at the airport to us or insurance office. Meraj Air is ONLY responsible 20 USD per kg for lost baggage based on IR. Of IRAN CIVIL AVIATION rules and regulations.
Check –in Deadlines time in Meraj Air International flights is 4 Hours before Departure, and for Domestic flights is 2 Hours before Departure.
If you travel with a large Family or Group and you wish to seat together, refer to Check – in Counters before mentioned time, so that Meraj Air Staff can help you more. Also please Make sure you get to your boarding gate on time. Boarding starts 45 minutes before your flight and gates close 30 minutes before departure. If you report late we will not be able to accept you for travel.
